Every school in the Oregon Trail School District has a program through which parents and other community members spend time volunteering their services to support the education and welfare of children. Volunteers tutor, do clerical work, help with special projects, chaperone field trips, share their career experiences with students, and participate in Parent/Teacher Club activities. Oregon Trail students and staff benefit from the assistance of over 1,000 active volunteers.
With student safety our highest priority, the district board of directors has mandated that all volunteers working with children consent to a criminal history background check. In addition, all volunteers must attend an orientation/training session. For more information call 503-668-8067 Parent/Teacher Club: President: Melissa Pankratz
