Manufacturing Day tours- Sandy High students toured local manufacturing plants on National Manufacturing Day, October 2nd. Neil Smits from Trillium Machine and Jake Cansler from Cascade Precision showed their products and demonstrated their manufacturing capabilities.
Hands on learning- Boring Middle School 8th graders visited the Hopkins Demonstration Forest to study forest ecology using techniques that foresters use.

Two Sandy High alumni return to Oregon Trail- Tomi Griffin, who took over for retired drama instructor Chris Harris at Sandy High School, and Mackenzie Woodcock, a first-year teacher who said she found her dream job at Firwood Elementary School, are both excited to return to the community that sparked their passions for teaching.
