Middle College Information

  • Middle College is a partnership with Mt. Hood Community College and the Oregon Trail School District for students who would like to begin their college career while also completing their high school diploma. Applications are accepted once per year, usually in April. This is a full-time option only, and students may take up to 2 classes on the main high school campus. Information from previous years is included below for reference (new applications are posted each year), and information for the upcoming year will be posted in the new year. More information on the Middle College program can be found on MHCC’s website at: www.mhcc.edu/MiddleCollege/

Students need to place into the following classes for Middle College Entry:

    • Reading 115 or higher
    • Writing 115 or higher
    • Math 60 or higher

    UPDATE 4/7/2020:

If applicants still need placement testing – MHCC is currently working to facilitate remote testing services that will not likely accommodate our application deadline.

Therefore, CPT score requirements WILL BE WAIVED for application to the SHS 2021 Middle College program.  Once admitted, students will still need to complete MHCC testing and placement requirements prior to fall course enrollments.  However, CPT tests will not be required for the application.
