NEW parent/guardian to OTSD: Create a ParentVUE account
If you have never had a student enrolled in the Oregon Trail School District and are enrolling for the first time:
- Log into ONLINE ENROLLMENT to create a new ParentVUE account
- Click “More Options” and “Create New Account”
- Answer the questions regarding OTSD enrollment and press continue. If you answer Yes to any of the questions, please press “Return to login” and contact your student’s school for additional assistance.
- Please read the User Agreement and press “I Accept” to agree to the terms of use.
- Enter your first name, last name, and email address.
- Check your email to retrieve the ParentVUE registration email. (If you do not see the email within a few minutes in your inbox, check your junk/spam folder.)
- Click “here” in the email and fill out the screen to complete the account creation process. Your email is used as a default User ID, please choose a unique User ID and Password.

Account Creation Questions
When you select the “Create a New Account” option, you are presented with questions to confirm whether you may already be in our system.
If the answer to any questions is YES: Please return to the log in screen and enter your User ID and Password. If you do not have one, contact the school for assistance.
What if I have forgotten my User ID or Password: Go to the login screen and click “More Options” then “Forgot Password”. Enter your email address and watch your inbox for an email to reset your User ID or Password. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder if not received in your inbox within a few minutes.
If you accidentally answer Yes to one of the questions when the correct answer was No:
The system will not allow you to continue. Either switch to another internet browser and start again or contact your enrolling school for assistance.

Electronic Signature
Type the exact first and last name you used when creating your online account.Navigation
- You may click on Spanish in the bottom right corner to change the language. Please note that this is a pilot project and translations may not be accurate.
- Use the Previous and Save And Continue buttons at the bottom of each page to navigate backward and forward. DO NOT USE YOUR BROWSER’S BACK BUTTON. This will lock your registration for 24 hours.
- Online registration includes a series of pages presented in a particular order. You may click a module name on the left side of the screen to return to a module you have already seen.
- There is a green progress bar at the top of each page to show your progress in the current module (not the overall registration process).
- Your data entry saves as you move through the process. You may return to your registration at any time in the future by logging back in and clicking Resume Registration.
- A yellow In Progress button will appear if the application has been resumed.

CAN I ACCESS THE ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM FROM MY SMARTPHONE OR TABLET?
There is not currently an app for Online Registration. Online Registration is best accessed from a desktop computer.

HOW SECURE IS ONLINE REGISTRATION?
Online Registration uses 128-bit, transport layer security (TLS) 1.2 encryption technology to protect information. The technology is similar to that used in other industries such as health care and banking.

CAN I ENROLL OR VERIFY MORE THAN ONE STUDENT?
Yes. Parents/Guardians can enroll or verify multiple students in a household at one time.

CAN I START THE ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS NOW AND FINISH IT LATER?
Yes. Before you submit an enrollment or verification, you can leave the online portal and log back in later to make edits or add more information.

ONCE MY ENROLLMENT OR VERIFICATION IS SUBMITTED CAN I GO BACK IN AND MAKE CHANGES?
No. In order to make changes to enrollment or verification once submitted you will need to notify the school. The office staff can then make the changes for you.

HOW DO I SCAN THE REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS IF I DO NOT HAVE A DESKTOP SCANNER?
You can capture documents by taking a picture of the paperwork or form with your smartphone/tablet and email the image file to yourself.

WHY HAVEN’T I RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL AFTER SUBMITTING AN ENROLLMENT OR VERIFICATION?
If you have not received an email confirmation after clicking submit to an enrollment or verification, please review your junk or spam folders and mark DoNotReply@ortrail.k12.or.us as a safe email address and not spam.
