We're happy to welcome volunteers to our schools. Please contact your school directly for information about specific volunteer needs.
All volunteers must complete our online application and background check. In addition, volunteers are required to provide proof of receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination, or complete one of the following exception forms:
Completed vaccine cards or exception forms must be submitted to the principal's secretary at each school where you hope to volunteer.
Please complete our required online application to volunteer at any Oregon Trail School District school.
OPTIONAL FREE TRAINING through SafeSchools:
SafeSchools training is an online training center that allows school districts across the state of Oregon to easily train staff, parents, and volunteers on school-related safety issues to demonstrate state and federal compliance with safety mandates.
As a district parent and/or volunteer, you may register and take the following trainings:
- Child Abuse: Identification & Intervention
- Sexual Conduct: Staff-to-Student
- Sexual Misconduct: Staff-to-Student

You willl then be taken to the registration page where you will enter your basic information, including a username. To begin a course, click on the blue title link and follow the prompts. To earn a certificate of completion, you must complete all sections of a course and pass the quiz.
