Oregon Preschool Promise

Oregon’s innovative free preschool program is for children four years old, specifically for the year prior to the student entering into kindergarten.  Preschool Promise leverages a high-quality, local and culturally-relevant early education program and makes it available to children living at 200% of the poverty level.

The student schedule mirrors a full day student, 8:30-3:30 PM, four days a week (M, T, W, Th) with no school on Fridays.

Students participate in a wide range of activities; early literacy and math, art, dramatic play centers, music as well as activities that support social emotional and motor skill development that prepare students for Kindergarten.  Family collaboration is another key part of the program.

Class size is limited to 18 students that is supported by a teacher and an educational assistant.
